2026 International Club Challenge



Ride Challenge Rules

  1. Your cycling club's name must be recognized by the Major Taylor Cycling Alliance.
  2. If you are a member of more than one approved Major Taylor club, you can only ride for ONE Major Taylor club. Your challenge results CAN NOT be split or shared across multiple Major Taylor Cycling clubs.
  3. You must have a Strava account.
  4. You must have your Major Taylor club initials after your name in your Strava profile.
  5. You must join the Strava Club Page titled "All Major Taylor Cycling Clubs." You will not be admitted to the Strava group without your MTCC initials after your last name.
  6. Your Strava results must be visible to EVERYONE at the completion of each ride. If your activities are not visible to EVERYONE at completion, the Challenge application will not count your ride. Strava results must stay visible the EVERYONE throughout the challenge; hiding results after they have been made public is not allowed.
  7. Clubs with less than 5 riders will not show on the club leader board, however, your results will be part of individual achievements (most/average miles and elevation, longest ride, etc.)
  8. YOU CAN NOT MANUALLY ENTER ANY RIDING ACTIVITIES.
  9. Clubs will compete for MOST and AVERAGE miles and elevation.
  10. Your riding miles can only be earned from outdoor or indoor riding. Classic trainers, rollers, and Pelotons will be placed in a separate category and will not count towards team elevation.
  11. E-bikes have their own category that doesn’t count towards miles nor elevation. E-bikes are allowed for riders who want to track their rides during the challenge only.
  12. BIG Ride Challenge: The longest ride (in miles) in 24 hours will start at any time on a given day and will end 23:59 hours later. Rides lasting longer than 24 hours of your elapsed time on Strava, will count towards overall ride challenge but not towards the BIG RIDE challenge. BIG Ride activities must end on February 28th, 11:59:59pm.
  13. Your riding miles are calculated based on the Strava ride calendar, which runs from Monday through Sunday each week.
  14. No downhill only riding indoor or outdoor. Rides with negative elevation will be disqualified.
  15. If you have any problems, you must contact contest admins for help. Go to the “Report Issues” tab on the Challenge Application.
  16. All rides must be uploaded within 24 hours of completion.
  17. Ride Challenge Ends 11:59:59, February 28th! Any ride that starts @ 12:00:00am on March 1st, WITHIN YOUR LOCAL TIME ZONES, will not count towards your overall challenge results. Rides must end at 11:59:59 on February 28th!
  18. If issues are found during the ride challenge, club leader shall be responsible for regulating and addressing those issues within their club(s). Each club should have a primary and secondary contact to handle issue(s) found during the challenge.

***Clubs and/or club members shall act with integrity. If you are found to have hidden, manipulated, or changed data, your ride(s) will be disqualified, and you risk further action including being banned from the Ride Challenge.

Minimum Team Size

  • Each TEAM is required to have a minimum of five riders
  • Clubs with less than five riders will participate in individual categories only (men and women most miles, elevation, etc.)
